In this work, patches of light are abstract subjects of transience. Quickly forming and disappearing they are rapid reminders of change. As a metaphor for the self, the unknowable landscape is central to the work. By exploring representations of surfaces in nature, I can also consider the concept of facade and how we project ourselves in the world.
This work was created during a period of exploration and self-questioning as I embarked upon a new postgraduate course in Photography (2018).
